The Cultural Awakening

The Cultural Awakening was formed through a passion for writing, travelling, and exploring the great outdoors.
It is a celebration of people, places, history, culture, language, landscapes and lifestyle. 

The Cultural Awakening was created to share moments from around the world; to help people understand our world better by focusing on localism, not tourism; to teach people to embrace each new travel experience with an open mind; and to increase people’s knowledge about all the diverse cultures that exist within our world so we can all become more conscious and respectful travelers.

We aim to change the way the world travels by sharing meaningful and genuine experiences, connecting with real people and helping you to think critically about the world around you.

We want to foster more ‘global citizens’ by creating a deeper understanding of the world we live in. To be open to experiencing and learning from other cultures by immersing yourself into their practices, understanding their value and recognizing similarities as opposed to only differences it builds more meaningful interactions, empathy and cultural understanding amongst all.

Culture isn’t just about discovering a new location, it’s about embracing a new way of life. It takes into account the diversity amongst people, religion, traditions, activities, cuisine, architecture, and expression.

Travel has the power to humble you, to expand you, and most of all, to change you.
